Everyone deserves to be celebrated.
We can help foster families and organizations by providing cakes to celebrate the kids who otherwise would go without.
Hani’s Heroes partners with agencies that support youth (ages 1-24) who are at-risk or underserved, including youth in foster care, group homes, homeless shelters, transitional and low-income housing, domestic violence or human trafficking shelters, substance abuse programs, and refugees.
We bake free birthday cakes for underserved children who might not otherwise receive one.
Cake is as American as apple pie, right? Growing up, Sahana was used to elaborate birthday cakes, given her mom has a professional wedding cake shop. As she matured, she realized what she considered was a normal part of growing up was not the norm for many children in her community. That is when cakes for underserved children became an idea that she wanted to bring to fruition. With the help of her family, she formulated some ideas and started reaching out to organizations in the Charlottesville area. Though some doors closed and there was some disappointment, she was certain of her idea. She persevered and Hani’s Heroes was born.
